Atta Halwa (Wheat flour halwa)

Generally We know the recipe of various kinds of halwa. Semolina Halwa, Carrot Halwa are the most popular sweet dish among them.
Have you ever tried atta halwa at home? It is another halwa recipe which is very delicious and easy to make. If  wheat flour is available at home, you can make it instantly. It will take around 25 minutes to complete.

Ingredients: 

  1. Wheat flour (aata): 1 cup
  2. Sugar (the quantity can vary as per the sweet taste): 1 cup
  3. Ghee (clarified butter): 1 cup
  4. Milk: 1 cup
  5. 1 cup of nuts {cashews, almonds, golden raisins (optional)
  6. Cardamom powder: 1/2 tsp

Method:

  1. Heat ghee in a pan.
  2. Fry the wheat flour until it turns golden brown.
  3. Now add milk, sugar, cashew, raisins and cardamom powder to it on low heat.
  4. Keep on stirring so that it does not stick from the bottom of the pan.
  5. Make sure that it does not create any lump.
  6. remove from the flame.
  7. Serve hot with puri or paratha.
