Chingrir Paturi often reminds my aunt’s cooking. She is an expert to make this dish. Sometimes I wished to eat this special dish but it was not possible here. So I arranged the recipe and don myself with apron to cook..
Though getting fresh leaves become challenging task in the big cities. But still I got to manage some banana leaves.

Paturi is an unique cooking technique. It means cooking something wrapped in fresh leaves, generally in plantain leaves. Some use pumpkin leaves too. Traditionally the wrapped parcels used to be placed inside the pan of steaming rice. The steam provided enough heat to cook the paturi.
