Fish Roll – Bengali Wedding Style Fish Roll Recipe – Spicy Fish Filling Stuffed In Fish Fillet
Bengalis are very fond of fish. So we can make many varieties of delectable dishes which include macher Kalia (Fish thick curry), jhol (Stew with potato), chochchori (spicy curry), bhapa (steamed fish), bhaja (fried) and so on.
In bhaja (fried) category, we also have so many variations like fish cutlet, chop, roll, batter fry, etc.
Fish Roll is little tricky than other fried versions. The spicy fish filling is stuffed in thin fish fillet, rolled and then deep fry. This fish roll is very tasty and a popular menu in Bengali wedding.
It was also one of my wedding menus. Since then, I became a fan of the dish and later developed the recipe. I presented this dish in Masterchef audition (season 3) and got selected up to the 3rd round.
Recently I participated in a cooking competition called “Hyderabad’s Bangla Ranna Expert” hosted by Bongfoodie. My recipe “fish roll” impressed the judges and won the competition again.
